چکیده
Shark cartilage was created as a cancer-fighting diet because it believed to have an element that may suppress tumor growth. Due overfishing, sharks become endangered recently, making impossible harvest natural components from shark for therapeutic development research. Previously, we identified peptide SAIF with an-tiangiogenic and anti-tumor effects, successfully expressed in Escherichia coli by using genetic engineering techniques. However, did not elucidate the specific target of its antiangiogenic molecular mechanism, which hindered further drug development. Therefore, this work, exact mechanism action studied various techniques, including cellular vivo animal models, computer-aided simulation, capture, transcriptome sequencing analysis. With VEGF-VEGFR2 interaction preventing activation VEGFR2/ERK signaling pathways, discovered decrease angiogenesis hence significantly limit The findings demonstrated SAIF's strong safety pharmaceutically potential. evidence showed SAIF, is by, potent safe inhibitor might be developed candidate treatment solid tumors such hepatocellular carcinoma other conditions linked angiogenic overgrowth.

SH003 represses tumor angiogenesis by blocking VEGF binding to VEGFR2
Tumor angiogenesis is a key feature of cancer progression, because a tumor requires abundant oxygen and nutrition to grow. Here, we demonstrate that SH003, a mixed herbal extract containing Astragalus membranaceus (Am), Angelica gigas (Ag) and Trichosanthes Kirilowii Maximowicz (Tk), represses VEGF-induced tumor angiogenesis both in vitro and in vivo. SH003 inhibited VEGF-induced migration, inv...
متن کاملDSGOST inhibits tumor growth by blocking VEGF/VEGFR2-activated angiogenesis
Tumor growth requires a process called angiogenesis, a new blood vessel formation from pre-existing vessels, as newly formed vessels provide tumor cells with oxygen and nutrition. Danggui-Sayuk-Ga-Osuyu-Saenggang-Tang (DSGOST), one of traditional Chinese medicines, has been widely used in treatment of vessel diseases including Raynaud's syndrome in Northeast Asian countries including China, Jap...
متن کاملPeriostin promotes tumor angiogenesis in pancreatic cancer via Erk/VEGF signaling
Pancreatic cancer (PaC) consists of a bulk of stroma cells which contribute to tumor progression by releasing angiogenic factors. Recent studies have found that periostin (POSTN) is closely associate with the metastatic potential and prognosis of PaC. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of POSTN in tumor angiogenesis and explore the precise mechanisms. In this study, we used lent...
متن کاملErianin inhibits high glucose-induced retinal angiogenesis via blocking ERK1/2-regulated HIF-1α-VEGF/VEGFR2 signaling pathway
Erianin is a natural compound found in Dendrobium chrysotoxum Lindl. Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a serious and common microvascular complication of diabetes. This study aims to investigate the inhibitory mechanism of erianin on retinal neoangiogenesis and its contribution to the amelioration of DR. Erianin blocked high glucose (HG)-induced tube formation and migration in choroid-retinal endoth...
متن کاملQuinazoline derivative compound (11d) as a novel angiogenesis inhibitor inhibiting VEGFR2 and blocking VEGFR2-mediated Akt/mTOR /p70s6k signaling pathway
Objective(s): We previously reported a series of quinazoline derivatives as vascular-targeting anticancer agents. In this study, we investigated the mechanism underlying the anti-angiogenic activity of the quinazoline derivative compound 11d. Materials and Methods: We examined the effects of quinazoline derivative 11d on vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2 (VEGFR2) activation via VEG...
